A day trip to Yanardag reveals the natural wonder of the “burning mountain,” while the ancient petroglyphs of Gobustan offer a glimpse into prehistoric life. The itinerary also includes a visit to the Fire Temple, showcasing Azerbaijan’s deep-rooted Zoroastrian history. Day 1: Arrival in Baku
Upon arrival in Baku, the vibrant capital of Azerbaijan, students will be greeted and transferred to their hotel. After settling in, the group will embark on an introductory city tour to get acquainted with Baku’s rich history and modern marvels. The day will culminate with a welcome dinner, offering a taste of Azerbaijani cuisine and an overview of the exciting itinerary ahead.
Day 2: Yanardag and Gobustan
Day 3: School Visit and Fire Temple
Students will spend the day immersed in Azerbaijani culture through a visit to a local school. This experience will include attending classes, interacting with Azerbaijani students, and gaining insights into the country’s educational system and daily life. In the afternoon, the group will visit the Ateshgah Fire Temple, a historical site dedicated to Zoroastrian fire-worshippers. The temple’s rich history and spiritual significance will offer a fascinating perspective on Azerbaijan’s diverse cultural heritage. The evening will be free for students to explore Baku on their own.
